It contains light to guide you, food to nourish you, and comfort to give you peace. It is the wanderer's direction, the captain's compass, the soldier's sword, the Christian's covenant. Study it quietly, successively, reverently. It should occupy the thoughts, govern the heart and lead the feet. Owned it is wealth, examined it is knowledge, trusted it is protection, studied it is wisdom and acted upon it is power.
